Sunday was a rain day.  I'm glad it did rain because it was VERY dusty at the RV Park here. Our friends came over in the afternoon to chill out and it was nice to catch up on whats been going on with their lives.  They recommended a wild game restaurant for dinner. It is called Saskatoon and it was really good.  We had Red Stag, Kangaroo, Buffalo, Emu, Lamb, Beef, and Quail.  I really wanted to place a second order for Kangaroo to take home.  Oh and there was carrot cake with maple cream icing. If you are in Greenville, SC I would recommend this restaurant, it is a bit expensive but really good.

Monday was spent running errands and shopping for the remaining elements for Fantasy Fest costumes. And of course, I had to go to a local quilt shop for fabric for the travel quilt. The local Bernina dealer "We're in Stitches" was a great little shop.  Their classroom had some beautiful quilts. We decided to have Mexican food for dinner and they have a Chuy's here. It was tasty as usual.

Tuesday was a quilting day.  I managed to finish quilting the raffle quilt I am making except for the star.  I want to do big stitch quilting inside the star.  Dianne and I visited while I did the quilting. And Elard spent the afternoon giving the coach a deep clean on the outside. We cooked chicken and squash for dinner and enjoyed Eric's company too, he joined us after work.

Wednesday I took advantage of Dianne's countertop to trim and square the quilt. I am so glad I could use her counter, I don't know how I would have managed to trim it at the RV. Now all I have to do is get the binding done.  We spent a lovely afternoon on their screened porch and bid them farewell until we see them in Key West in a week. Thanks for the hospitality y'all.

Thursday was moving day again.  We are on our way to Ocala and stopped in Macon, GA for an overnight.  There is a storm brewing in the Gulf that is forcasted to head straight for the RV park we were planning to stay at Friday near the Florida-Georgia line.  So I got on the phone with the park we plan to stay in Ocala and they are able to get us in a day early, YAY! It will mean loosing my deposit at the Jennings KOA, but not dealing with the gusting winds will be worth it.  We didn't even unhook the Jeep here at the Forsyth KOA Journey.  We grilled a steak and enjoyed the evening.

Friday we got on the road by 9:00 am in an effort to beat the rain from the new tropical storm Nestor. We found a fuel stop just south of Macon and got all tanked up.  We stopped just across the Florida line at the welcome center for a quick lunch to break up the drive.  We drove thru a couple of very light showers between Gainsville and Ocala and made it to our new park ahead of any real rain.  We were all set up by 3:00 pm and ready to start enjoying the area.  The rain is supposed to last thru Sunday but I planned laundry and sewing for Saturday so that should not hinder my plans.

Saturday I spent the day with an upset stomach and stayed in bed. I hope to feel better before we head to Key West.  I'll make the peacock tail for my costume when we get to Key West.  Next weeks post will be a little late as we recover from Fantasy Fest! :)
