Week 150: Texarkana, TX

Dec. 12 - Dec. 18, 2021

Sunday, we made time for a walk. It was a little nippy but sunny so we enjoyed it.  They are also playing all the Star Wars movies, I am enjoying that and wasting a ton of time on Pinterest. And Yellowstone..."Damn right, I did it!" for governor!

Monday, hey we have a two day walking streak going LOL. It won't likely last though.  It is supposed to rain randomly for the next week.

Tuesday, we reached our three week limit at Millwood Landing so we moved down to Texarkana RV Park and Event Center.  I think this would be a great place to host a RV Quilters retreat. I may have to talk to the staff about that.  We got moved without incident.

Wednesday, I am tickled that our friend Peggy from Little Rock was able to come visit with us today.  We treated her to lunch at this great little restaurant/caterer The Silver Spoon.  They remind me a lot of  The Coffee Bean in Monroe.  I had their special, chicken and dressing.  It was very yummy.  Then we enjoyed a couple hour visit on the patio here at the RV. Peggy made Elard some spicy pecans and created a needlepoint Christmas Bell for me. The Bell has joined the decorations on the dash.  We had so much fun chatting that I completely forgot to take a picture.

Thursday, I heard on the news this morning that there is a cream cheese shortage so I created a Walmart pickup order for cream cheese and a couple other things I need to make Coca Cola salad for Christmas.  It was a good plan but I scheduled the pickup for 5 pm and there was a line of storms that started at 4... I waited for a really, really long time at the pick up and I felt so sorry for the kids bringing the groceries out to us.  They were drenched and I think that several of their workers did not show up.

Friday, Elard was able to do his annual checkup virtually.  It was really nice not to have to drive to Baton Rouge. Next we drove down to Willie's to have another couple days with the Family.

Saturday, Willie invited everyone over for finger foods. It was a great visit. Elard and I returned to Texarkana.  Dang, I forgot pictures again!

Adventure On!
