Week 139: Nacogdoches, Texas

Sep. 26 - Oct. 02, 2021

This week had a lot of movement but was not very exciting.  Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday were spent on the move to get to Nacogdoches and the Foretravel service department.   We overnighted just outside of Memphis at the Memphis KOA in Marion, AR and the Texarkana KOA in Texarkana, TX. Both of these KOAs are geared to overnight stays and are easy to get into and out of.

Wednesday thru Friday, the folks at Foretravel take such good care of their customers. We had a roof leak that we hope we've located and there are always a few things that need to be worked on. The crew took care of all the things on our list. We managed to try out a few restaurants while they worked on the coach.  Butcher Boy's had some very good BBQ. Peking Chinese Restaurant, I enjoyed their Szechuan shrimp.  Clear Springs Restaurant I enjoyed their catfish and shrimp. We arranged with Foretravel to stay on site for a few days.

Saturday, we got to partake in a pig roast hosted by our niece. We drove over to Haughton to visit with my sister and her husband. My brother did the actual cooking with what he calls a Cajun microwave.  It is basically a box with the heat source on top. The food was awesome and it was fun hanging out with our family and their friends.
